The Lord of the Rings trilogy arrives at the Orpheum Theater in Galesburg

GALESBURG – An otherworldly film event is coming to the Orpheum Theatre. Travel to Middle-earth with your comrades for the 20th anniversary celebration of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

For this film marathon, the Orpheum Theater will screen all three epic films, beginning with The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) on Friday, April 1; The Two Towers (2002) will play matinees on Saturday April 2, with an evening screening of The Return of the King (2003) to close the weekend. The Lord of the Rings is a series of three epic fantasy adventure films directed by Peter Jackson, based on the novel written by JRR Tolkien.
